Sometime between Schnabels last single and this one, they decided to change name to Fahrenheit, and switched drummers from Lennart Holmström to Johan Schjelderup (at least i think they were drummers, but please correct me if im wrong, the sleeves tell nothing about any line up at all). the music also changed a bit, but kept the intense new wave of say, the best parts on the "pop-job" sampler, and took it to new levels of great music. the surrealistic lyrics of "Under skydd av det vackra" gets to me each listen. also, i must say that the vocal parts are much better in fahrenheit than in schnabel. this is a great, and somehow forgotten, single.UNDER SKYDD AV DET VACKRA PROMENERAR JAG IDAG

Great to read these amazing reviews of Schnabel's and Fahrenheit's recordings! I'm one of the two lead singers and the bass player in both bands. Lennart Holmström played the guitar, and Johan Schjelderup keyboards. The rest of the line-up was the same for both bands: Rickard Gramfors, song, bass, Jan Ljungwaldh, song, guitar, electric violin, Mats Molund, drums.
Me, Mats and Johan went on to start The Lee Harvey Oswald Ensemble in 1996, together with guitar player Michael Forsman (later on with Lennart Holmström again) with a very different approach to music. We released two albums on Joker Records: Star Spangled Boner (1989) and Uncle Sambo (2001). Reformed after a 12 year hiatus in 2007. Played three gigs in 2008.
